The LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology is an innovative process that has been developed to bring out the hidden expertise and insights of the team members so that they can answer these questions together. It is the ultimate tool for team building: a facilitated communication and problem-solving methodology with in-depth reflection and effective dialogue, in such a way that it is also fun and dynamic.
It is based on years of research in business, organizational development, psychology and learning and builds on constructivism. The methodology does not rely on the typical conversations during meetings. Instead, the team members use a meticulously chosen selection of LEGO® building blocks and a unique process in which, above all, they “think with their hands” – and gain insight, inspiration and imagination.
We use this methodology when working on ‘team identity’, creating what we call a ‘real’ team: a team that can formulate an answer to the question ‘why do we exist’ and ‘what are our cooperation principles’?
The LEGO® Serious Play® methodology utilizes our potential to represent, describe and give meaning to a situation, initiate change and even radically create new things. When we use our hands as learning tools, a complex process takes place that has a strong emotional component. As a result, the team members not only literally build their thoughts and ideas but they are also expressed and remembered with more detail.
The Revolv facilitators are LEGO® Serious Play® certified. A LEGO® Serious Play® workshop lasts for one day and is custom-designed for your team.
